Antique French Jet long necklace black glass beads hand faceted goth Victorian

Beautiful antique long necklace made of hand faceted beads, finished with a triple fall of beads at the centre front

I had thought this to be real jet but it does not leave a mark on paper or ceramic so it is most likely black glass, commonly known as French Jet.  It is of good quality and may have been made at a time when jet was so fashionable that demand outstripped supply leading to fakes being made. 

The actual necklace is 33 inches in total. The tassels dangle bits are 3.75 inches each. 

The beads have small variations in the cutting - these just add to its charm

Each bead is hand knotted into place 

No fastener

Lightweight
